Team Tables are small group activities, where teams gather in groups of up to 6 per "table," working closely with one of our professional Story Guides. This human touch is what sets our program apart from other options.
Each table will enjoy individualized attention as you embark on an exciting adventure of the imagination which develops based on your actions and choices. Success depends on communication and teamwork, and your outcome will be unique each time you play!
Gatherings are divided into groups of six and appointed their own highly trained Story Guide for deeply-individualized attention. Up to 18 people served at once. Larger teams can join multiple sessions or, with enough notice, play together simultaneously, given Story Guide availability.
At the end, time allowing, all groups will come back together to share stories and learnings, and afterward, each group will receive an epic writeup of their adventures as a souvenir.
We recommend setting aside a minimum of two hours per event, and if you can budget three hours, that gives it more breathing room and more time for fun. Enthusiasts who enjoy this as a hobby consider 2-3 hours to be a minimum, and often enjoy sessions of 4-8 hours or longer! Our sessions are structured to accommodate the needs of inexperienced players in a short time frame, and a session of 4 hours or longer unlocks a more "full" experience. (Our feedback is typically that participants wish they had more time, so don't be shy about booking longer sessions if your schedule allows!)
Optionally, we can include a segment at the end where all active tables come back together for a shared story beat and post-game debrief. This is only available in sessions of 3 hours or longer.
In the wild, these sessions will often be held weekly or bi-weekly in an ongoing "campaign" that can last a year or longer. If you enjoy Team Tables and are curious about the possibilities that emerge with an ongoing roleplaying campaign, reach out and we will be happy to arrange it for you!
For our in-person events, we will come meet you at your office or the convention center of your choice. We have two hubs of operation, one in the San Francisco Bay Area and the other in Albuquerque, New Mexico. But, we are willing to meet you wherever your team is located. Story Tables brings highly trained Story Guides to teams large and small both in-person and virtually. Prices depend on the duration of the event, the number of individuals hosted, and location. Since every venue and event varies from team to team, we ask you to reach out and schedule a call with one of our specials who would be happy to customize a quote based on your company's unique needs.
Team Tables is great for virtual teams! We consider the online experience to be the default mode. Despite the joys of in-person gatherings, they are currently offered by request only.
We will set up a video call on Zoom, or you can set up the call on the video call conferencing software of your choice. This is a social experience, so we ask that all participants keep cameras on, in order to foster a sense of community and connection during the event. Our games use a variety of tools and features to supplement the imagination and make the gameplay easy for a wide variety of players. At this time, we use no AI tools--what you get is all driven by human creativity.
